Obsidian has certainly come a long way from the days of being a small indie game developer. Crucially for Avowed, the Xbox exclusive will be aiming to kick on with their development before their main rival, the Elder Scrolls, decide to roll out the carpet on their sixth title - their first since Bethesda was acquired by Microsoft.

The most likely update that we'll get on Avowed will be through Obsidian's other upcoming RPG, as The Outer Worlds 2 release date is expected to land first.
All we can do is keep our ears to the ground and look out for any new information we have about Avowed and the other projects that are currently underway by the game's developer, Obsidian, that could give us an estimated release date. I think the natural ability of a Woedican godlike would be a boost to their unarmed strength (since Woedica manifests as "the Strangler").Sadly, there is still no official Avowed release date. I imagine a Woedican godlike to appear as a very badly burned person, with a crown growing organically from the godlike's skull. This, to me, is hilarious and also very Wael-ish. the Wael Godlike appears like a completely normal Kith - but! At random intervals in their life the godlike releases a random burst o magic with unforeseen or known results (much like Wild Magic!). In my mind it has to be one of two things: either a pile of grotesque sentient eyeballs that move and communicate from sheer willpower alone, OR. The passive power of an Eothasian godlike could be a minor healing aura, or something that inflicts Blind to nearby enemies.įor Wael, who knows what that godlike would be. I think an associative power for an Abydon godlike would be something to do with increased deflection defense, or perhaps a much longer endurance, or less need for sleep.įor Eothas, I imagine a godlike would just appear humanoid like that of their parents, but always bathed in light and bearing the Eothasian symbol on their forehead (much like the Adra colossus in Deadfire) and acting as a set of "horns". I won't make this section too long, but I just wanted to take a moment to geek out and speculate what the other godlike variants might be like, and what their associative powers could be like.įor Abydon, I am unsure if we would see an automaton-like godlike, or something akin to that of a warforged (from DnD/Eberron lore). For example, Ondra, goddess of the moon and the sea has two godlike variants (moon godlike and marine godlike).įrom Pillars of Eternity we only are able to play as four different types of godlike ( death, fire, moon, and nature). By that I mean a godlike that displays a visage reminiscent of the deity who blessed it.
However there is speculation that a god could have more than one type of godlike. Since there are eleven gods in the Eoran pantheon there are (hypothetically) eleven types of godlike.
